Getaway - Luxury River Cruises from Amsterdam to Basel

'Getaway' is Australia's longest-running and most popular holiday and travel programme. Presenter Livinia Nixon enjoys a cruise along the romantic Rhine and Moselle rivers starting in Amsterdam and traveling through to Basel in Switzerland, traveling on board the latest ship 
in the Scenic Tours fleet: Scenic Crystal.
 

Episode 1

Livinia boards the Scenic Crystal and begins her cruise in Amsterdam, where the festival
of Queensday is taking place. The inaugural
voyage begins and passengers visit the
Royal Delft factory and the Delta works
before arriving in the World Heritage city of
Bruges and then on to Antwerp.
 

Episode 2

The ship arrives in the historic city
of Cologne  before setting sail along the
Moselle River to the Roman city of Trier.
Marking the end of the trip through the Rhine
Gorge is Rüdesheim, where Livinia takes a cable car above the town, which gives a
fantastic view of the region, and visits a
unique musical museum.
 

Episode 3

Guests dine at the renowned Rastatt Palace, followed by an unforgettable concert in the
hall of Rastatt. The ship then sails into Kehl,
located on the German side of the Rhine
River, and Livinia takes a short bike ride
over a bridge to the French city of
Strasbourg on the opposite shore. A final
stop in Basel, Switzerland, marks the end of
the voyage.
 

Getaway - Paris to Barcelona & South of France River Cruise

Catriona cruises through France, kicking off in Paris, the city of love, before heading down through Burgundy and Provence and finishing off 
in Barcelona. From 2013, there will be no better way to explore the beautiful region of Southern France than on board our very own Scenic Emerald, which will be permanently located to France from next year. Scenic Emerald will be the newest ship on France's waterways, 
as well as the largest! The Scenic Emerald also features private outdoor balconies on the majority of staterooms and suites, the only ship on France's waterways to do so.
