Today enjoy an included sightseeing tour of the city, followed by a selection of SCENIC FREE CHOICE tours: (1) visit the Ceausescu’s imposing Palace of the Parliament, the largest building in Europe; or (2) a visit to Bucharest would not be complete without a day excursion to Snagov Lake. The main attraction here is the Monastery situated on an isolated island in the middle of the lake. This is the supposed burial place of the Legendary Dracula, Vlad Tepes.

Venture to Veliko Tarnovo, a town with a rich historical past dating back to 3,000 BC. In the 14th century as the Byzantine Empire weakened the town was the Bulgarian capital and known as the third Rome. This afternoon we’ll enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before travelling to the nearby leafy village of Arbanassi which is included in UNESCO's world heritage list of valuable cultural sites.
Be sure to have your camera ready as you cruise the spectacular Iron Gate, a narrow gorge carved by the Danube between the Carpathian and Balkan Mountains, which forms a natural border between Serbia and Romania.
Today explore Serbia’s capital Belgrade, one of the oldest capital cities in Europe and site of the famous siege in 1456 which ‘decided the fate of Christendom’. Visit Tito’s memorial, Fortress Kalemegdan and see St Sava Church on your included tour. This afternoon choose from one of the following Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE tours: (1) enjoy a guided bicycle tour along the Danube; or (2) enjoy the Tastes of Belgrade, during your walking tour you will have opportunity to sample a traditional Serbian specialities; or (3) explore the city on a tour with a local.

We start the day with a guided visit to the Zsolnay ceramic factory, where we'll visit main exhibition areas including ceramic making presentation; the factory has been established since 1853 and it is one of the most unique porcelain factories in the world today. The Baroque provincial town of Kalocsa lies at the periphery of the great Hungarian plain and is renowned for its decorative embroidery and paprika production. Today visit a Hungarian Puszta horse farm and enjoy a show before tracing the origins of paprika.

Today we sail into the Slovakian capital, Bratislava. This centuries old city has been influenced by different nations and religions; it was once the capital of the Kingdom of Hungary, a part of the larger Habsburg Monarchy, and after WWII it became part of the Eastern Bloc, until 1993 when it became the capital of the newly formed Slovak Republic. Upon arrival you will enjoy an Included guided walking tour through the cobblestone streets of this historic city including an organ concert in the magnificent Franciscan Church.
